CCL19 (Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 19) is a chemokine that plays a key role in the migration and trafficking of naive T cells and dendritic cells to lymphoid tissues, such as the lymph nodes and spleen, by binding to the CCR7 receptor. It is produced by various cells, including dendritic cells and stromal cells in secondary lymphoid organs, and is essential for the proper functioning of the immune system. CCL19 helps to maintain immune surveillance, immune cell activation, and the development of adaptive immune responses. Dysregulation of CCL19 signaling has been associated with autoimmune diseases, inflammatory conditions, and cancer metastasis.
